FDNS General Construction ("FDNS Construction," "we," "us") provides construction, remodeling, and home maintenance services in Maryland. This policy explains what information we collect through fdnsconstruction.com and our customer portal, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to respond to you, schedule work, and run your account — and we do not sell your information to anyone.
Information you give us
- Contact form:your name, email, phone number (optional), the service you're interested in, and your message.
- Walk-through / service booking: your name, email, phone, property address, approximate property size, preferred times, and any notes you add.
- Customer account: your login email, password (stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash), phone, service address, and your service history — requests, visits, inspection reports, quotes, invoices, and plan details.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. Card numbers go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers; we keep only the invoice/receipt records.
Information collected automatically
- Security data: your IP address is used to rate-limit form submissions and protect the site from abuse.
- Cookies: we set only essential session cookies that keep you signed in to your account. We use no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no third-party analytics.
How we use your information
- Responding to your inquiries and scheduling visits
- Preparing inspection reports, quotes, and invoices, and running your service plan
- Sending service-related emails (confirmations, receipts)
- Meeting legal, tax, and record-keeping obligations
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Service providers we rely on
A small number of providers process data on our behalf, each only for the purpose listed:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Microsoft — our online scheduler (Microsoft Bookings; details you enter there are processed by Microsoft) and internal calendar/notification tools.
- Resend — delivery of transactional email such as confirmations and receipts.
- OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) — address suggestions while you type in the booking form; the text you type in the address field is sent to this service to offer completions.
- Cloudflare — network security and content delivery in front of our site.
How long we keep it
Inquiries and booking requests are kept as long as needed to serve you. Customer records — reports, quotes, invoices, and contracts — are retained while your account is active and afterward as required for legal, tax, warranty, and insurance purposes.
Your choices
You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we must keep by law) by emailing [email protected] or calling (240) 670-3466.
Security
Account passwords are stored only as one-way hashes, integration credentials are encrypted at rest, access to customer records is limited to authorized staff, and all traffic to the site is encrypted in transit.
Children
Our services are for homeowners and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with an updated date. Material changes to how we handle existing data will be communicated to account holders by email.
